Gray Nightstands

I have a big secret. I won’t keep you in suspense because I wouldn’t have told you I had a secret if I wasn’t going to tell you! It’s just I’ve had people wondering how in the heck I’m able to paint furniture on top of everything else. Well, that’s the secret people. I got a paint sprayer. Not just any paint sprayer, a paint sprayer for painting PROS. Check her out:
The Home Right Finish Max Pro. Before I wow you with her awesomeness, take a look at these nightstands

A fairly sturdy piece with really good bones. In fact, it’s not even that bad black, if that’s your thing. These belong to a client who wants to modernize her space and we thought a nice shade of gray would do just the trick.

Ta-Da! I looove how they look. The brass hardware might need to go, but let’s not focus on that. The paint is what is so gorgeous. We went with Country Chic Paint’s Pebble Beach and then a coat of Natural Wax. Now, how long would you guess a project like this would take painting by hand?

All those little nooks and crannies? 2 coats AT LEAST to cover the black. Just guess. I would say about 2 hours give or take interruption time.

Well, guess how long they took me with my sprayer?

2 minutes a coat. Yep. We’re talking 5 minutes here, excluding dry time. Add in the prep time, about 30 seconds and drying time about 1 hour in between coats, and you’ve got yourself brand new nightstands with less than 10 minutes of work!

I love how matte they look. I think the room is so light and bright. The sprayer is a cinch to use. Plug it in, pour in your paint, and go!

But don’t just take my word for it. Read about all the amazing experiences some of my DIY peeps are having with the sprayer:
Now we just have to paint the matching armoire. Don’t worry guys, I’ve got this.
