September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Usually I am just focused on October’s breast cancer, but just a couple months ago my 17 year old cousin was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma Bone Cancer and has just the barest chance to live. The cool, fresh, air is a crisp reminder to me of all the things I have to be grateful for. Amazingly she’s been able to attend a day of school and participate in a school swim meet! Her resolve is so inspiring and I can’t help but want to be a better person.

The cool crisp morning air is perfect running weather! I strap the kids in the jogging stroller and we go. I’ve been loving granola bars as an easy pick-me-up snack after a workout that both me and my kids enjoy.

 I couldn’t help but add the new Candy Apple M&M’s to my cart when I passed the Halloween aisle at Walmart. Dangerous, but perfect for my recipe! {and bonus, a coupon! $1.50 off any two (2) M&M’s brand chocolate candies }

I picked up some Mott’s Apple Juice as well. A great way to replenish our electrolytes! {plus, get a coupon for $1 off any 2 Mott’s sauce or juice drink!}

Here’s how you can make some for your post-workout snack:
